photoshop workshop 1 - Opacity

 Before image.

Firstly you need to open your image in photoshop.

Then you need to select the image you wish to use for second layer. Drag this and drop it on top of your original image.

 

Resize the picture using the markers around the edge of the image. To resize whilst keeping the image to scale hold down the shift button whilst resizing. Do this until you have covered the original image with your new image.

 Then on the right hand side select the drop down box for Opacity. This will then open a slide bar. Move the slide bar up and down to alter the opacity.

 Stop when you have achieved the desired effect as seen below.

Then you need to place the second image. You do this by selecting the tick above the picture. This will remove the grid from the picture.

Once you have finished your image don't forget to flatten the image. To do this go to Layer in the menu bar as seen below and then select flatten image. Now you are able to save your image.
